In the webinar, Marie addresses first of all how important it is to build trust with your audience and connect with them. As a concrete example, Marie encourages us to have direct conversations with our audience, such as communicating via DMs or encouraging them to reply to your emails.

Action

Building an email list is a great way to ensure that you actually own your customers’ information. A good analogy is that building your customer base on Instagram or LinkedIn is like building your house on rented land whereas building an email list is to build on land you own.
